Our experience with Conroy Catering for our Winter Wedding at Glen Foerd was fantastic from the first day of planning through our wedding day! From the beginning, we were given a Consultant that worked out the entire event’s details with us and happily answered any questions and request that we had. This added a personal touch to the planning process that we truly appreciated. When the day of our Wedding came, we arrived at Glen Foerd to see it exquisitely decorated for the holidays. Each time I look at our pictures that were taken both inside and on the grounds of the Mansion, I feel so lucky to have the unique and timeless beauty of Glen Foerd as a backdrop. We frequently heard from our guests that they loved the food, received exceptional service, and that it was the best wedding that ever went to! By the time the last dance was played, the Riverside Conservatory sparkled with holiday lights and both my husband and I were certain that Glen Foerd was the perfect place for us to enjoy the best day of our lives! I recently hosted an evening wedding and reception at the Knowlton. I, my wife, family and guests experienced an evening of incomparable luxury and service. Every detail was attended to by a caring and experienced staff. The master of ceremonies, Chris, was absolutely 100% attentive to every detail. Her assistant, Dee, treated my wife and I like royalty. The waitstaff and bartenders were professional and courteous to everyone. I cannot go on enough about the quality of the food. Appetizers were succulent and butlered so efficiently that everone had an opportunity to enjoy the hor d’oeuvres. We chose the ‘duet’ of fillet and crabcake and I cannot remember a finer meal at any affair I’ve ever attended. The fillet was like butter and the crab cake was large, delicately seasoned, and full of crabmeat. Did I mention the salad? It was absolutely fresh, garnished with fruit and served as a fine intro to the entree. The timing of the dinner was excellent and made so enjoyable by the butlered wine. When the dancing commenced, the lights were dimmed and the party began. Tables were arranged to maximize the dance floor and everyone had room to boogie. All along, Chris and Dee were vigilant to every detail. We could not have asked for better service.

Needless to say, our guests were very impressed with Knowlton Mansion—not only for its beauty and space, but also for the food, top-shelf bar and, once again, the excellent service. Thanks to all of the Knowlton personnel who contributed to such a magical evening for our daughter and our loved ones.

We just wanted to let you all know that even after more than 8 years of being married, the guests that were at our wedding are STILL (we are not even exaggerating) talking about how awesome it was…the food, the staff, and the venue were nothing short of perfect! Most people say it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The website for the Mansion did not include a scrapbook at the time of our wedding so we never got a chance to say "thank you" and tell you how happy we were with everything…we could not have made a better choice!

As we start closing in on our 10 year anniversary we were thinking about planning a party, which is what led us back to your website. If we could give any wedding planners a word of advice we would tell them they should definitely book this place!

I just wanted to personally thank you and all of the staff at Conroy Catering for making my wedding so special. I loved Glen Foerd from the minute I stepped foot inside the doors on my first visit. My mom and I looked at each other that day and said “this is it”. We knew from the moment we saw it that we had to have my wedding there. I did not stop getting comments from my friends and family for weeks after my wedding remarking about how amazing the site was and asking me how I found it. Everything was perfect. The food won raves from all my guests. The cake was so beautiful and delicious! The scenery was gorgeous and my pictures turned out amazing. I was hoping you would share this email with the entire staff. Lori and Roland's wedding, thanks to the outstanding staff of wedding coordinators, was an absolutely wonderful day. The guests did not stop commenting on how wonderful the food had been along with the presentation and services. You may have heard that there was a bit of a glitch as the priest did not show due to his secertary having put the time in his appointment book for 3 PM rather than 12 PM. The coordinator moved quickly to identify Rev. Zimmerman as an alternative and he was available to fill in for Father Liddy. The schedule was re-arranged and the coctail hour was moved up while waiting for Rev. Zimmerman and everything turned out just perfectly. It could not have been a more beautiful affair. What was quite evident was the calmness of the bride through this dilema thanks to a significantly caring and proficent staff. Heartfelt thanks to everyone.

Our daughter Lara married Todd Paparo on September 29, 2007. It was the most magnificent experience of our lives. Knowlton was splendid and the support people were exceptional and we couldn't have asked for more on such a special day. The weather was perfect so we were able to have the ceremony outdoors. People still can't stop talking about everything about that evening—from the outdoor setting, to the indoor magestic rooms and the delicious food.

Glen Foerd was the first place we visited. We were so excited we booked that night and it met every expectation. Even before our big day, Amy and Bridget made every effort to answer even the stupidest questions. On August 11 the sunset over the Delaware provided us with a great backdrop for some last-minute pictures. The night’s events were flawless and Bridget made the transitions of our reception seem natural. The Hors d’oeurves and grill station were our favorites of the night, but our guests really enjoyed the ice cream sundae bar. The acoustics of both the piano room and the outdoor area kept everyone on the dance floor until the final song, “Bye,Bye,Bye”. We hope our friends choose Glen Foerd so we can relive this night all over again. Thank you so much to the entire staff for making this the best night of our lives!

When we arrived, we saw the grounds perfectly maintained and roses in bloom. The ceremony outside by the water was beautiful, and the coordinator Eileen executed everything perfectly, making it completely stress-free. Dinner was truly memorable and people have been talking about the delicious filet. We could not have been more pleased with our wedding at Glen Foerd. From the planning process to the attention to detail on our special day, Conroy Catering was a dream to work with. They were very accommodating to our schedules as we were planning the wedding from New York. Conroy worked very hard to meet all of our requests, even the more creative ones —they even made us wonderful mini cakes as our centerpieces. All of the food was outstanding and the appetizers were delicious—and plentiful! My name is Holly Heller from Norristown, PA. On December 3, 2006, we held our wedding ceremony and reception at Glen Foerd Mansion. Everything was absolutely amazing from the start—Amy and Bridget helped us with a lot of the “little“ touches, like using a painting of Glen Foerd as our guest book, having birthday cupcakes for our guests, and arranging favors and special tokens for the kids. On our wedding day, the mansion was absolutely glistening, fully decorated for the holidays. As soon as the ceremony ended, the entire bridal party had a glass of champagne in our hands so we could toast each other have a moment to absorb being married. Our guests were absolutely in awe (as were our vendors), and have continually raved about the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The night was just more amazing then we ever anticipated and we are truly grateful. "Ryan and I had the best experience with Conroy Catering. After our wedding day, we couldn’t help but think how they thought of everything! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Knowlton Mansion and couldn’t have been happier. Their sales and event specialists were so attentive and helpful prior to the event. Particularly Amy and Bridget, they quickly responded to inquiries and provided advice. The day of the event everything went smoothly. Alice, our personal attendant, was the best! Thank you so much for making our wedding day the best day of our lives.

We got married at the Knowlton Mansion January 7, 2006. The reception was perfect, the food delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere wonderful. My family has been in the flower business for over 50 years so we have had many experiences with wedding receptions. Without exception, everyone agrees that the Knowlton Mansion provided a five star wedding experience! Even before the wedding day, the event planner was knowledge and helpful, working with us to accommodate our unique situation. The day of the wedding, the staff was attentive and professional. I was especially concerned about some of my elderly guests, and the staff handled all of their special needs. The food was incredible. The wedding cake was a beautiful chocolate, chocolate chip genoise with white chocolate mousse icing. Fabulous! The cappuccino bar was a great success along with the miniature desserts! Every time we speak with someone who attended the wedding we learn of a different favorite. However, everyone agrees that this was the best wedding reception they have ever attended.
